Knowledge is Power!

Bike&Walk Montclair believes the best way to achieve our goal of more people walking and bicycling on safe complete streets is through a combination of fun events, acvocacy and education.  We wish to expand our community knowledge base of bicycle and pedestrian safety, and be a resource for information such as safe practices, accessible design, and implementation successes.

Our Bicycle & Pedestrian Safety page includes information, links and videos from the League of American Bicyclists, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

Our Smart Cycling Program is designed for novice to intermediate cyclists and classes range from Learn to Ride (for both children and adults) to Street Savvy Cyclist.  All classes follow the League of American Bicyclists Smart Cycling guidelines and are taught by one or more certified League Cycling Instructors (LCI).
